At some point in our lives, we have all felt like we did not fit in or belong. It’s a universal experience. It’s important for everyone to have a sense of belonging throughout the many facets of their lives.

Today, organizations spend $8 billion annually on diversity initiatives, but struggle to achieve their desired outcomes.

While we see some progress, there is still a long way to go in the fight to create truly inclusive spaces. When an organization focuses on creating a culture of belonging – where individuals feel safe and can harness their full and best self in the workplace – they emerge as a clear leader in the effort to create more diverse, equitable and inclusive organizations.

You’re invited to join us in a conversation with Belonging, Diversity and Inclusion Officer at Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC), Dr. Sharonne Herbert, on Thursday, June 9th, at 11 am EDT/8 am PDT to explore their journey to create an inclusive culture where employees, patients and their families belong.
