DEI Fundamentals Series
Change is a team sport that requires everyone’s participation. This also holds true when facilitating change that creates more diverse, equitable and inclusive cultures where individuals can achieve a sense of belonging. Too often organizations fail to build the foundation of shared meaning on which successful change occurs and lasting impact thrives.
All sports require the development of fundamentals to be successful and the same is true in the workplace. Employees need the understanding and skills to fully take part in creating an inclusive culture. This levels the playing field and ignites the growth required for change to happen.
The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Fundamentals Series was created to help organizations build the necessary skills across the entire organization to facilitate change. It consists of four self-directed eLearning programs that offer learners opportunities to discover, explore and practice using tools that build greater awareness and prompt conversation and dialogue.
What is the Fundamental Series?
The four self-directed eLearning programs include:
- Building Awareness of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion: Introduces definitions and basic explanations of why each topic is critical to organizations, teams and individuals.
- Let’s Do the Numbers! The Economics of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion: Provides research and statistics that tie the important work of DEI to performance and to the bottom line.
- Biases & Filters: Offers the learner an opportunity to explore why biases exist, how our brains are wired to use filters and how we can identify and mitigate potential negative impacts on how we work together.
- The Inclusive Organization Workplace: Includes practical information and options for examining behaviors and creating an inclusive environment.
Participants can access this interactive eLearning experience on their own schedules across multiple devices. Each self-paced program is designed to be completed in 30 – 45 minutes. These customizable programs can be tailored to include your organization’s branding, definitions and messaging.
