How can a more strategic approach to career development influence employee engagement and organizational performance?
Opportunities to learn, grow, and advance remain important drivers of engagement—and key factors in employees’ decisions to stay with or leave an organization. Career development also supports internal mobility and continuous learning, helping organizations optimize talent, respond to changing needs, and build the capabilities required for what’s next.
My Career is a learning experience designed to help participants take a more intentional and strategic approach to their careers. Through guided reflection and strategic exploration, participants learn to identify and interpret the insights gained from their experiences—the patterns that reveal what matters to them, where they thrive, what they contribute, what they aspire to, and what opportunities may be worth pursuing. They use these insights to make more informed career choices, evaluate potential opportunities, strengthen career conversations, and shape a compelling professional narrative.
The experience also emphasizes the importance of relationships that support career growth. Participants identify the people and resources that can provide perspective, feedback, advocacy, access to opportunity, and support as part of a strong career alliance.
Participants leave with greater self-awareness, a clearer sense of direction, practical tools and frameworks, and an actionable plan—along with the confidence and agency to take greater ownership of their career decisions, development, and future direction.
